Hornets Cheerleading Testimonials
Below are testimonials about the Hornets Cheerleading program. We are very proud of this organization and how the Lord is using it in the lives of the participants and their families.
Our family had just returned from our first mission trip when the Impact season began. Like many Christians, I had it in my head that I had to “go somewhere” to make a difference and serve the Lord. At our first practice, many parents were sitting around, sharing burdens and life stories. It hit me like a ton of bricks—your mission field is WHEREVER the Lord puts you EACH AND EVERY DAY! I tried to keep this in my mind and spirit at each and every practice. I feel like the Lord grew ME tons this season and gave me opportunities to minister that I probably would have overlooked before!

“Impact Cheerleading was introduced to our family during a difficult time in our lives. The moment we signed up for Impact cheerleading, we began to have a special bond with so many families that encouraged and loved on us. The coaches have always been there for my daughter and our family. Most importantly, the Impact program is a place where young ladies can cheer, have fun and honor GOD all at the same time! Amen!”

“We have three daughters, ages 10, 9 and 5. We first heard about IMPACT Cheerleading when we went to a Mill Creek Cheerleading meeting to sign up. After attending the meeting, I was overwhelmed and a bit concerned about my daughters cheering for boys at their ages. Someone told me that I should check out IMPACT Cheerleading at Hebron. I contacted Donna Rice and she sent me over all the information to read up on it. I was impressed with her from the beginning. After attending the meeting about signing up for it. Donna suggested that I put my girls in a tumbling class over the summer to get them familiar with what they would be learning as an IMPACT Cheerleader. The girls LOVED the class and the coach. They were hooked from the get go. Ashley Rice is an amazing coach.”
“During the first competition that we went to at the First Redeemer Church, my oldest daughter who is not participating in Cheerleading this year, looked at me and said, Mom, sign me up, I want to do this. So, it looks like we will have all three of our girls doing it next year. IMPACT Cheerleading is an incredible organization. It brings the sport of Cheerleading and Competition to a whole new level. It is Christian based, the girls do weekly devotionals, prayer and it provides the girls with a good sense of character and self esteem. We couldn’t be more pleased with the program, the leadership team, the coaches and the friends that we have made being involved with this group. We just hate that it’s only offered from August to January. We will definitely be back for many years to come. Thank you.”

“Three years ago at the age of 10, my daughter, Dylynne decided that she wanted to “try” cheerleading. I was not willing to pay the $500 + that the recreation parks charged for her to simply try something so I just figured that it wasn’t in the cards. Then one Sunday at church my husband saw an add for the Impact program through FCC. The first year I simply was a mom on the front row cheering on my daughter’s squad. Excited that my family got a vacation to Disney World. Honestly, I didn’t even know any of the other families or the girls & I didn’t really care to for that matter. Turns out I was destined to be a much bigger part of this program.”
“Last season there was a need for coaches, so I told Donna that I would help out, IF there was “no one else” that volunteered. As God would have it I was asked to coach the Senior Hornets along side Julie Blair. It was a difficult task, and we struggled through the first several weeks, but as God worked in my heart he showed me how important the job he gave me was. Not only did he open the door for me to be an example for the precious young ladies that were entrusted to me, he showed me how I could be a better ME . “Practice what you preach” really took on a new meaning.”
“Each practice & competition got easier & the girls along w/Julie & I went on to win a National title. But that isn’t even the best part~sure you want the hard work to pay off, and you want the girls to be proud of themselves, but first & foremost their relationship with God & to each other needs to thrive. I am now blessed with 15 girls this year that I am honored to have in my life as well as the younger girls that hug on me & look up to our squad. It is breath taking to hear them all chanting “Senior Hornets” before we take the floor at the competitions. What a important task we have been given as the oldest squad to set a good example for the younger girls.”
“This past year has probably been one of the most difficult for me personaly, mentally & spiritually. The enemy seems to have camped out at my door. But by the never ending grace & mercy of God, miracles have happened. God moved in my life in ways that are really beyond words. The Impact program is a huge part of my small miracles. Hebron’s Impact Program has brought me such joy, not only as a coach on the mats, but as a mentor off the mats. God knew exactly what I was thirsting for and through this program he has brought me dear friends & extended family that I would certainly not have without this program. The people that run the program, as well as, all the coaches put forth ever effort to make this program a place where God’s Word meets the sports world and I am extremely honored & blessed beyond measure to be a part of it. *Galations 6:9-10″

“My girls, ages 10 and 6, have been Hebron Hornets for 3 seasons now. They have enjoyed each year and it has been a blessing for our entire family! I love the program’s vision. I love the competitiveness with a realistic and Christian perspective. My girls learned valuable lessons from the blanket ministry. We continue to pray for the Impact program and the lives it touches. Thank you.”

Impact Cheerleading has become a very important part of our family. Both daughters are involved and I coach. This was all of our 3rd year as a part of the program. There is no other sport at Hebron or any other church that I know of where devotions are given at practices and the gospel of Jesus Christ is beautifully laid out at least once at every competition. That is incredible!
It is in our blood and while the season is 4 & 1/2 months long, it is a part of our lives 12 months out of the year! We love the comraderie the girls have and I love coaching and encouraging the girls. I feel certain that we have made life-long friends with several families.
Thanks to Hebron for listening to those of us who begged for cheerleading. Thanks to Donna for taking on the leadership role and taking Impact into her heart and her family! Thanks to Susan for grasping the vision the first year and volunteering herself and her family! Thanks to all those who have been touched by Impact and volunteer in many areas to make the Hebron Impact program the award winning program that is. I am honored to be in such company and a small part of such an AWESOME program! GO HORNETS!!!!
